* Role Summary/ Purpose: The Legal Officer is responsible for the legal aspects of the Company.
* Essential Responsibilities:
1. Drafting, reviewing, commenting and negotiating legal terms and conditions of Oil and Gas project contracts, agreements, minutes of understandings, etc..
2. Administering the signed contracts, agreements, minutes of understandings, etc..
3. Estalishing and maintaining Company’s commercial legal procedures, manuals, databases, etc.. ensuring consistent applications with standard legal policies, procedures, regulatories and databases
4. Giving advices to management board about commercial legal issues which are related to Company business.
5. Supporting counsels and management board on disputes resolutions and litigations if required
6. Coordinating with other disciplines in performing related tasks
7. Carrying out other tasks of Department when assigned by Department Manager
8. Carrying out other tasks when assigned by Company
- Bachelor of law, from an accredited Law university, or equivalent
- Legal experience at a large law firm/ consultancy or corporate legal department, with taskes related to to drafting and working on complex business transactions (i.e. purchase, sale and distribution agreements).
- Experience in quickly identifying legal issues and making on the spot risk calls or escalating as appropriate.
- Able to prioritize conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast-paced, pressured environment.
- At least 4 years experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
- Excellent English skills
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills (both English and Vietnamese language)
